Ganoderma lucidum ยท The calm mushroom
What is Reishi?
Reishi is a glossy, red-brown shelf mushroom known in Chinese tradition as lingzhi. It has been used in traditional practice for more than 2,000 years and is one of the best-known adaptogens, a group of plants and fungi traditionally used to help the body adapt to everyday stress.
What's in it
Reishi is rich in beta-glucan polysaccharides and triterpenes, the compounds behind its naturally bitter taste. Its triterpenes are associated with Reishi's traditional use as a calming, sleep-supporting mushroom.
