Ceylon Cinnamon
Cinnamomum verum ยท The true cinnamon
What is Ceylon Cinnamon?
Ceylon cinnamon, often called true cinnamon, is the delicate inner bark of a tree native to Sri Lanka. It is milder and sweeter than the more common cassia cinnamon and has been used as a spice and in traditional practice for thousands of years.
What's in it
Ceylon cinnamon contains cinnamaldehyde and plant polyphenols, and it is naturally much lower in coumarin than cassia cinnamon.
